SDVOSB

Honor, Duty, and the Commitment to Excellence

The SDVO Small Business Advantage
The U.S. Federal Government created provisions for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) to help the wounded and disabled veterans of the United States compete against companies that have been entrenched in the Federal marketplace for years. While the intent has been to give back to those who have defended our nation, the practical matter is that doing business with an SDVOSB results in an advantage for the contracting Federal agency.

The same qualities which have enabled these service-disabled veterans to successfully defend our nation carry over into their businesses, via their leadership, management skills, and work ethic. If you listen to these veterans, you will be struck by their passion for Honor, Duty, and the Commitment to Excellence.

Whatever it Takes To Get The Job Done
The Department of Veterans Affairs contracted with Avisar in 2006 to spread the message and promote the cause of veteran-owned small businesses and the great work done by the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE). Avisar assigned its Strategic Communications group to create the branding, message, and ultimately the videos for the CVE. The videos, which can be viewed online at avisarinc.com/cve, are being distributed at CVE conferences nationally and can be requested directly through www.vetbiz.gov, CVE’s Federal web portal for veterans in business.
